  • Unsupervised Driving Rules Any licensed driver under the age of 18 may not drive unsupervised between 12 midnight and 4am unless driving to/from work or a school-related event.
  • Passenger Rules Licensed drivers under the age of 18 may only carry one (1) passenger who’s under 18 during the first year of being licensed. After the first year, any member of your family may ride with you plus you may carry up to three (3) passengers who are under 18. Once you turn 18, these passenger restrictions are lifted
  • Other Any male under age 18 who applies for a learner's permit or driver's license in Virginia is automatically pre-registered with the U.S. Selective Service System.
