  • Unsupervised Driving Rules First-Year Restricted License holders may not drive between the hours of 11pm and 5am unless commuting to or from school, church, a job, or because of farm-related work. (A police officer has the right to contact your parents to verify the reason you are out driving during these hours)
  • Passenger Rules Licensed minors may only carry one (1) non-family passenger who's under 18 during the first 6 months after receiving a license unless a qualified supervising driver is seated in the front passenger seat. During the next 6 months they may carry up to three (3) non-family passengers who are under 18 unless a qualified supervising driver is seated in the front passenger seat.
  • Other Learners Permit applicants must be enrolled in an approved drivers education course to receive a learner's permit. If drivers education is not taken, you cannot apply for a learner's permit until your 16th birthday.
