  • Minimum Age for Learner Permit New Hampshire does not issue learner's permits. However when you are 15 yrs, 6 months old, you may begin to practice driving with a qualfied supervising driver (i.e.--a licensed driver who's at least 25 years old).
  • Learner Permit Holding Period Learner's permits are not issued in New Hampshire. You may begin to practice driving at 15 years & 6 months with a qualified supervising driver. You may apply for your first driver's license when you turn 16.
  • Minimum Amount of Supervised Driving 20 hours (outside of the driving practice you do in your drivers education program)

  • Unsupervised Driving Rules Driver's license holders who are less than 18 years old are prohibited from driving between the hours of 1:00am and 5:00am.
